OMGHi2U Are there any manual transmission AWD wagons left?

I can't think of a single one to buy/lease new that's not a stripped down base model. I thought I had it figured out with BMW, but the 328i xDrive no longer comes with a manual option.

I'm sure the peanut gallery will come in here and complain, but I've owned seven Volkswagens with no issues. Plus, this one is a six speed diesel if you fancy that.

I think VW is bringing AWD to the Golf sportwagen which might still come with an available 6 speed.

I drove the VW TDI Sportwagen in 2014 trim w/ manual and DSG. It wasn't dog slow though the 2.0T would be a better choice for speed. The 2015 model is supposed to be much lighter.

Cool but no AWD?

The other requirement is 2 baby seats in the back, at least 1 rear facing.

Same boat here. My better half's V70R is 11 years old now. I think the closest we'll get in a new car is a Focus RS, but that's a hatch, not a true wagon.

I see the discussion about a Jetta AWD version in CY2016. I'm not opposed to VW or to leasing so I don't have to deal with out of warranty bull****.

I'm extremely jaded because I had a VR6. They had issues with coolant boiling in the heads and taking out head gaskets when shut off at higher temps (they ran really hot). VW engineer solution? Throw a fish aquarium pump on it to circulate coolant for an amount of time after shutdown. These pumps failed routinely. This is how a lot of their engineering is though. Instead of fixing the original issue, they throw another thing at it to kludge it which is usually unreliable. I would never make the mistake of using a VW as a daily driver again.

I would have to look at a Cooper S Countryman ALL4 because back doors.

How much more or less room in the back of that thing than a 2002 WRX? Again, need 2 baby seats.

I'd also prefer under $45,000

I know how this story ends and it's with another ****ing Subaru.

If by another ****ing Subaru you mean a special order Forester Premium, then yes. Or you could hit up Crawford for their SEMA WRX-powered CrossTrek.

I can't get the MT in a Subaru I want either (with a premium engine), so maybe you don't be so married to being a jerk.
