I forgot the mention, I'm still on XP SP3. So.. Windows 7 is mostly needed.

Is 64bit worth upgrading to?

My PC won gold in Corsair's PC build contest! I'll probably opt for the AX1500i as my prize as it's worth the most. Using that PSU in my build would pretty much require me to redo most of the wiring so I'll probably just flip it.

i am getting very close to putting my PC through a wall. i have been dealing with a freaking network issue for a week now with no luck. i have a VPN setup so i can connect to my work network and access our share drives. everything was working fine until last week when i had to rebuild my PC and now i can't connect to the share drive anymore. the VPN is working fine and i can ping the server but when i go to connect, it tells me that the name no longer exist or that the device can't be found. i know that it is BS since my coworkers have no problem connecting and i am using the same exact settings i used before the rebuild.

Glad I achieved my goal, those cables took an extremely long time to make from a spool of wire. The hardware is nothing crazy, the objective was just an entirely silent MATX build while gaming. Only has two gentle typhoons turning about 750rpm.

MDPC sleeve over Durelene tubing. But the tubes are formed, the tubings bend radius is not all that great.

Finally got a new PSU installed, and moved into a new place w/ FiOS, should be good times.

Much better than the free "high speed" wifi at my old place.

Anybody use one of these PCIe SSD speed booster card thingies?

For $29 after rebate, it seems like it's worth a shot.

Posted in the old thread, but since we're on the subject:

Nothing too crazy with the cables here, first build for me, but tried to get them as out of the way as possible

Yup!

It's running just fine with it, after a year of use it'll still fully boot in 10-12 seconds, but that is on an eventual upgrade list together with updated the existing black fans and adding two more.

Well I added a 128gb 840 pro, 250gb 840 EVO, and an addition 16gb of Corsair 1600... Seems to run faster lol
