hi everyone-
some background:
I own a 2010 outback sport 2.5i ej255 na with 130k miles on it- I purchased the car in 2016. The private seller actually cut the muffler off the intermediate pipe and welded on a new one (which i did not notice at the time). so i decided to replace my pipe + muffler due to it just falling apart at this point so i can have the stock stuff again and be able to do as i please normally.

but i guess my noob question is-
does my subaru have 2 cats ?

i see a front cat and a resonator pipe, but i was trying to find out more clarification as to what is stock and what is not. (since in my case it did not come stock.)

another thing is- i got the p0420 code now and i wanted to know- is it due to an exhaust leak at the tail pipe end throwing a code? or if my cat is done for??

maybe im in for a subaru spending spree. any advice is appreciated.

update: after looking under the car, the midpipe looks like stock so did confirm that the end of the intermediate pipe and its flange is gone- its one straight pipe to a muffler that now is rusting out.
