I’m a process engineer moving to reliability in pharma, to set the stage. Any breakdown needs attention immediately because each batch is worth mucho $$$$. While today’s work was very ****ty, a major breakdown occurred and a string of lucky chances happened that has potentially put us on the right track. The biggest one however, was that this was a giant exhaust fan. It was in the back corner of the roof, and couldn’t be taken on a cart over the roof because the beams are 8’ apart. Walking out to the parking lot to meet a tech, and what happens? There’s a f****** giant boom crane In the parking lot! Happened to be here for another project and was pausing for the day, we were able to get them to get this motor down for us. Since it was here for something else we only had to pay the hourly fee. What are the odds??
