I got a new job recently so my commute has changed drastically and I’ll post how this has affected my gas mileage.
Old commute: 40min cruise at 65mph. 2 stop lights on the entire trip.
Mpg ~35-36
New commute : 15min of city driving.
Mpg : 22
When I was doing mainly 65 and some city my mpg was about 32-33.
Pretty crazy how much it can change based on conditions.
I’m sure at 75-80 it would be close or under 30 as well.

i am getting around 29 mpg lifetime after accounting for the 3% error in odometer (i'm at 27.9 on Fuelly using raw data).
I have found this care is extremely sensitive to the following:
- hills
- high speed on highways
- short trips since it takes a long time for engine oil to fully come up to temp.
my best tank was just under 40mpg... that was averaging around 60-65mph on the highway.
i rarely drive over 75mph, but for a 75mph average, i see around 32-33mpg.
