Was $25 cheaper 4 years ago when I got mine. And it's only good for devices up to 6A.
Through my research over the weekend I was reading hundreds of pages of findings by the Audio Engineering Society. Not only does the Hum-x not have sufficient amperage to support my amplifier, it isn't UL listed and is an inherently unsafe design. It really isn't much better than using a cheater plug.
