Second those claiming 300psi have never shown a video to back up there claim, In fact they do not used a snubbed pressure gauge to get a accurate reading. Normal pressure gauges cannot handle the pumps pulsation and will give wild erratic reading that do not represent the true pressure. So please use a snubbed gauge to prove the point.

Proper testing is the only way to give proper data. Also most people do not use a 30psi check valve I know we use a 16 psi one. Shurflo actually recommends you do not use over a 3psi one. The reason why is the constant back pressure on the pump head causes increased were. So solenoids are not recommended but still have not seen any failure problems using them.

Good work good to see someone else actually does bench testing.

Thank you for chiming in. If you post an updated test, I will change the above.

It is absolutely true that pumps don't make pressures, a restriction does. It is pointless to state the pressure of the pump but manufactures should state the "pressure" of the "on demand switch" or " by-pass valve". It makes more sense to the end user.

Here is a real life test on a PPS 100W pump with a 25psi checkvalve. Note the the "on-demand switch" has been removed.

(Duty cycle is ramped up and down slowly).

In order to see the pulse, glycerine filled gauge is no good. You can clearly see some large pulse spikes when the PPS controller frequency struck the resonance of the motor/winding.
