Default fuel cut or hesitation in hard 90 degree left-hand turns

I've had my 2004 STi for a month now and it's got 2500KMs on it.
The other day I was sitting at the lights waiting to make a left-hand turn. I nailed it while turned left quite hard and the car hesitated for about an eighth of a sec, then kicked back in. It was like a bunny hop of sorts.

If I rev it enough, say above 3000 you don't really notice the problem, and it's worse with the A/C on.

I'm running 94 octane, and it happens bwt 1/3 and a full tank.

My service manager does not know what's causing the problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
