I currently have some R51 bookshelf speakers on stands as L/R mains in my basement home theater. I have an Onkyo TX-NR676 receiver. I'm not running 7.2 yet so I would probably bi-amp them.

Any downsides to these? Reviews all seem pretty good, I'm just not sure if it's worth it.
worth it in what regard? They should have a similar sound signature as your R51's.

I love Klipsch speakers. I have the RP-250F as my L and R mains in my 5 channel system, which are sorta similar to these. however, I like that these are front ported, so you could keep them pretty close to the rear wall, without affecting the low end response, compared to a rear ported speaker.

mine are only bi-wired, using a 4 conductor cable, but I swear they sound better. it's probably due to not using the jumper, though a short piece of speaker wire could act as a better sounding jumper solution?
