i'm not actively looking, but if my EVGA email comes through (didn't sign up till dec, when the hybrids hit the queue, so doubtful) i'll grab one.

i built my current PC just after pandemic days hit us. i didn't pay stupid pricing, but paid more than i should have for some parts... but i want more. i'm running a 3800x/2080 super combo and it works, but i'd still like higher frame rate. i'm running like mostly high settings on Control, RDR2, etc.

the one that still pisses me off is GTAO. while i've got the settings up there i have to drop shadows down to where it's noticeable and pisses me off (@2560x1080) and am still seeing into 60-70's on some areas. thats probably more the game than gear though. have you tried playing GTA IV on your new gear?

have you looked at what TSMC/Intel have been saying about outlook for their fabs? TSMC is saying it's going to be tight through the end of the year, and one of the Intel C levels said he wouldn't be surprised to see it continue on through '23.

i guess i truly need a monitor upgrade to something 1440P before i can bitch. but that then becomes a chicken/egg argument at that point.
