During the lockdown, I decided to build two kayaks with the kids. One single and one double. The goal was both complete for under $900. Both were completed a while ago, but I had to do a repair to the single when a bolt for the back brace got pulled through the cockpit coaming. That, instead of being a simple fix like it should have been, turned into a complete repainting of the entire boat since I wasn't happy with how the paint came out during the initial build. I used simple poof-can Krylon, and it turned out really well. I was going to add red or black to the white, but couldn't come up with a design that I thought would look good on that boat. Oh, and the cockpit coaming was fixed too.
