I know this isn't the Todt/Brawn braintrust running the prancing horses anymore, but would at least think they would have split their strategy between drivers with all the uncertainty. Like I get boxing LeClerc for intermediates and keeping Sainz out, but LeCerc still had track position over Verstappen after the first round of stops so should have kept him matched to what Verstappen was doing.

Absolutely right. This has going on for years now.
I remember Vettel was yelling at them many times over the radio over pit strategy.
